Teaching and Preaching Notes:
Teaching Notes Below on Unbelief stopping us from walking
in God's Fullness:
“Unlocking the Door called Unbelief”
There seems to be a door that stops
the Lord from being able to fulfill his purpose in our lives and this door is called unbelief. You see, all throughout the
Bible, the Lord teaches us the pitfalls or the victories of standing or passing through this door. What kind of door have
you erected in your mind? Each of us has doors that we have erected over the years either through tradition, teaching or fear.
Many of these doors can seem overwhelming. During our times of tribulation, we tend to focus on our circumstances or the characteristics
of our doors named unbelief. Our emotional eyes might confirm our doors have a reinforced frame, a sophisticated lock or strong
hinges holding it in place. In our understanding, we might not be able to image our door opening and walking through in victory.
How does it seem that some people facing the same doors in their lives pass right through without hindrance? Could it be unbelief
holding us back from passing through our doors and walking in our victory? I say in the name of Jesus that Christ Jesus has
already opened the locks on your doors. Jesus is the key who unlocked the doors in our lives through his Word, his Power and
his Blood. The interesting thing about doors is that regardless of their size, material or lock, the frame and the hinges
suspend the door. As believers, we are called to activate his faith, push on our doors and walk through to the other side.
When the door has been unlocked even a simple push will swing it out of your way. I say to you today that we must accept the
work of the Cross and the Word of God that unlocked our doors of unbelief. Chose life and not death. Live and give him glory.
I know that some of you have already finished in your minds the outcome of this message and you are saying to yourself
this doesn’t apply to me. Give the Holy Ghost some time and he will most likely confirm in your heart some doors standing
between you and your destiny. The Bible said in the scripture that it is impossible to please God without faith. Let us search
the Truth together and discover all the doors in our lives have been unlocked and that we are in good standing with God. Let
us accept the victory over sickness, over demons and over lack through Christ our Lord.
The biggest miracle that
the Lord does in our lives is not our healing, our deliverance or our provision. The number one miracle is that the Lord takes
a person like us who has sinned against man, nature and God and Jesus reconciles us to the Father through faith by the blood
he shed for our wholeness. Why can so many Christian's believe for their salvation and yet they cannot accept the simpler
miracles. You remember Jesus discussed this very issue when he told the man who had been lowered down through the ceiling
that his sins where forgiven. The religious people of that day said Jesus couldn’t forgive this man of his sins only
God could forgive sins. Jesus told the people wouldn’t it have been easier for me to say to this man pick up your bed
and walk than to forgive this man of his sins? Because of their unbelief, the Lord said pick-up your bed and walk.
Many of God’s children have erected doors named unworthy, shame, rejection or unforgiveness that keep them from walking
into the free gift of wholeness. Haven’t we all built a door named fear at one time or another? The Word of God says
in Psalms 34:4 that the Lord heard me and delivered me from all of my fears. Walk through this door and know the Lord is with
you. Other people have erected doors that say I have to get holy first before I can go before the Lord. All of us are unworthy
by our own works. It is the work of Jesus that reconciles our spirits to the Father. Some people have erected doors that read
I don’t need this Jesus experience. Their doors say I am a good person and I know that God will honor my clean lifestyle
and the service I give to my community. They think surely God will not send me to Hell just because I didn’t confess
his Son died for my sins. The act of denying Christ is the greatest door of unbelief. Jesus said that unless a man is born
again he would not enter Heaven. Some people around the World have corrupted the Word of God and helped people to erect this
door of unbelief. One-way people assist in establishing this door in others is through watering down the Salvation Plan. When
people say we believe in this verse, however we don’t believe in that verse we water down and corrupt the Word of God.
If a person hears such teaching, he might discount the importance of accepting the promises in the Bible. If they reject the
truth because of our false witness and they think it is not necessary to repent and confess Lord Jesus, when they die their
blood is on the hands of those who helped them erect this door blocking their salvation. Let us chose not to erect doors in
the lives of others that might block their ability to get to the blessing of Christ Jesus.
What is a definition
of unbelief? One interpretation of unbelief is when a person places their self-interpretation, slant or spin rebelling against
the spoken Word of God. Have you shared your understanding with another person and corrupted the Bible because you had a difficult
time believing the promises from our Father? Recently, I heard a Pastor say that the Ten Commandments probably meant to say
that you are to honor your parents. It sounds simple to change a word here and there, however this man is the authority over
the largest Gay Church in America. This Preacher followed up to say that the Ten Commandments should read to honor thy father
and father or mother and mother, etc. You see he and his male partner had adopted two little girls to raise. They wanted to
corrupt the Word of God to conveniently fit their lifestyle. Have we possibly made some of the same types of mistakes? What
did the Bible say about idle words and how we would one day give an account? What about the scripture that talks about the
punishment of leading a child astray? Maybe we should careful around a person who uses logic to explain away God’s miracles
today. Many have said that God doesn’t do miracles today. These people insist that God’s gifts, miracles, signs
and wonders where only during the times of the Bible. Brothers and sisters, the Word of God says he is same today as he was
yesterday. God’s Words, plans and promises are forever. When we need a deeper understanding about a scripture or story
in the Bible, we should go to the Holy Ghost and ask him to reveal to us the heart of God. The Word of God says that the Holy
Ghost is our Teacher?
We can take a walk through the scriptures together and let the light shine and illuminate
doors that we have erected. God said in Genesis 2:19, let us make man in our own image. Many would discount this scripture
and say that we don’t look like God. The Word says that God gave the authority to man to take dominion over all the
earth in Genesis 1:26. Others teach that God is control of everything. Did the Bible really say in Exodus 15:26 that he is
the Lord that heals thee? Some would say that the Lord never promised us healing except when we leave this decaying body and
receive our new resurrected body. One thing about the Lord is he never leaves us hanging about his promises. If we take a
look at Matthew 8:17 the Word says that Jesus bore our diseases. Even with this scripture confirming scripture many believers
say that there is no use in praying. They say the doctor said they only have x number of days to live. How is it that many
believers will accept the word of the doctor without a second opinion regarding their illness, however they reject the promises
of God for their healing? The Word of God says we are to heal the sick, cast out demons and preach the Word of God to every
living creature. We must believe in God. The time is now.
God says that Aaron and his sons were anointed in Exodus
30:30 to minister to him. Can we really minister to God? You might be asking yourself right now how can I minister to the
Lord? One way we minister to the Lord is through our praises. The Bible says that the Lord inhabits our praises. Another way
we see the Lord being ministered to in the Bible is through our faith in him. Look at the inheritance Abram received when
he trusted the Word of the Lord. Isn’t the entire destiny of the World pointed to Jesus with this fundamental Godly
principal called faith and belief?
Many people say the Lord is not with me or they will declare the Lord is not
in that person. In Joshua 1:5 the Word of God says to all believers He is with you: He will not fail you or forsake you. The
Word of God confirms this promise throughout the Bible. The Bible says the Holy Ghost lives inside of us when we accept Jesus
as our Lord. If he lives inside of us then wouldn’t it be impossible to separate our spirit from God’s Spirit
after we are washed with the Blood of Christ? Doesn’t God’s Word say that he writes our names in his hands? This
is a promise that he is with us all the way to the end of the age. In Psalms 2:3-6 the Lord reveals that even in our weakness,
grace and mercy will follow us all the days of our life. Some would say that has not been their personal experience. If the
Word of God said it, believe it. Hallelujah the Lord is with us.
What about God making a way to supply all our
provisions? Some really get hot under the collar when people say that the Lord provides for all my needs. Oh they might come
into agreement with you if your understanding of the Lord providing your needs is the basics like bread and water. However
if your understanding is that God will fill your cup running over be prepared many will rebuke you. Some groups have built
doctrines teaching that the Lord prefers the poor to the free. The Lord says we are to be the head and not the tail. God teaches
that we should be the lender versus the borrower. How can we lend to others if are not blessed with abundance. Our children
wake up in the morning under the warm covers in their beds, walk downstairs, eat breakfast, put on clean cloths and continually
receive their provisions necessary to prepare them for life. Yet, some believe that God’s plan for us is to suffer.
What loving Father plans for his child to suffer and to be in lack? Another area of unbelief is in the area of tithing. Many
in the Body of Christ do not tithe. I am not teaching that we have to tithe to be in good standing with the Lord. I am teaching
that God made a promise of a blessing for those who tithe with a cheerful heart. There can only be two major reasons the Body
of Christ doesn’t tithe: One reason is that many have never been taught about the blessings that come with tithing.
Tithing is a blessing from God. There is a peace that over takes you when you give from the heart. The second reason is many
are operating in unbelief. They believe that maybe the Lord want come through. They say I cannot afford to tithe. The blessing
for tithing is the only place in the Bible where the Lord tells his people to test him. The Lord promises to rebuke the devourer
and to supply our needs in abundance. Trust in God.
We know that many places in the Bible people limited the Holy
One of Israel. When Jesus walked on the Earth his miracles where limited by man’s unbelief. There are countless scriptures
where the Lord told people that they would receive if they only believed. He says according to your faith you receive. We
know the Word says that Jesus could do only a few miracles in his hometown. The people didn’t believe he was Lord. Instead
they said he was Joseph’s boy. In several reports documented in the Bible, Jesus had to separate people from the others
who where operating in unbelief. One classic example is the leader of the Temple whose daughter passed away while Jesus was
on the way to her house to pray for her. Jesus said believe that you daughter is only asleep. When they arrived at the house
and the people found out that Jesus had come to pray for the dead girl in faith and power they made fun of them. The Word
says he made them leave the house and only took a few in and then he commanded the girl to awaken. When we pray for others
should we be surprised when in our heart we didn’t think that the person’s healing we prayed for would manifest.
Have we prayed boldly at the time, only to say afterwards, I don’t think they are going to get better? Another way to
cancel the prayer for healing is when others pray for us believing in their hearts for our healing and as they pray, we say
to ourselves, I am only letting this person pray for me to make them feel good. This person is nice and I want them to get
a chance to follow their spirit. However, I know what the doctor has told me and I am not going to get better. In either one
of these cases, should we blame God when healing doesn’t manifest? The Bible is the infallible Word of God. He cannot
lie. He said we must believe we receive when we pray to see our blessings come to pass.
Is anything to hard for
the Lord the scriptures say to us? Well some would say all we can do is hope and pray. Didn’t the Bible teach that when
we pray we are to believe that we receive? What part of belief does the word hope play? Couldn’t the word hope be exchanged
for 50/50 chance or maybe it’s my lucky day. Jesus rebuked his disciples because their unbelief blocked a demon filled
boy from receiving his miracle. God could not rebuke the disciples unless they had acted in disobedience. Afterwards the disciples
came to Jesus and asked him why they couldn’t heal the boy. Jesus’ coached the disciples and said it was due to
their unbelief. The Father knew that we might struggle in this area, so he told us that when we fall into unbelief the antidote
is to fast and to pray. Our fellowship and belief in him will be restored as we press into his goodness.
Let us
make a decision this day to be doers of the Word and not hearers of the Word only. You might ask how do I start tearing down
the doors I have erected in my life. One way you can start is with believing for little things. Try believing that the Lord
will give you favor for a parking space at the mall. Maybe, start to do something you couldn’t do in the past. Try praying
for someone’s needs to be met during their difficult circumstance. Even David said he started with the lion and then
the bear before he conquered the giant. I know the revelation of God’s Word is now planted in your spirit. Water your
seed with the Word of God and watch your life be transformed in the name of Jesus. He has unlocked our doors holding us back
from our destiny in him.
Teaching Notes Below on God's Healing Love, Receiving His Power and Fullness
in His Joy:
Matthew 22:36-38 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus
replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the
first and greatest commandment.
“Walk with God”
Many things in the Modern Day Church are
presented in a complicated fashion that makes walking with God confusing. We hear teaching from some denominations stating
that God puts sickness on you to teach you something or to bring God glory. Others say that God changed his mind and that
he withdrew his Holy Spirit after the last Apostle died because God chose to speak to men only through his written Word. Some
Churches preach that if you are not baptized you will not go to Heaven. Others teach that believers operating in the Spiritual
Gifts are demon possessed or operating in the flesh. Some think that God is offended when believers sing with their hands
raised over their heads. Others say we do not have to evangelize because we are a Teaching Church. Some believers have been
taught that if you sin and die before you can repent, your soul is cast into the lake of fire. Some Church leaders say that
Homosexuals do not have to repent because God made them that way and the Church ordains them to lead their congregations.
If we had enough time, each of us could present pages of false teachings men and women today are sharing in the name of Jesus.
Confusion of God’s nature, lack of knowledge of the Word of God, conscience disobedience in the Body of Christ are reasons
standing in the way of many believers who are trying to walk with God.
I say to you that a believer can walk with
God if he follows him and keeps his commandments. Let us look at some of the people in the Bible who loved the Lord and walked
with God. The Bible confirms every man has sinned against God. We know that many men in the Bible found favor in God’s
eyes and they walked with the Lord during their lives. You too can walk with God just like these men if you are a believer
and you operate in the love of Christ following his commandments.
A Rich Man walks with God: In Genesis, we
see that God said let us make man in our image. Shortly after God spoke the Word, God formed man and God breathed his Spirit
into man’s nostrils. This man was rich because God provided everything he needed. God named man Adam and God, our provider,
filled his cup with blessings. What man would not consider himself rich if he had a personal relationship with God, if he
walked in great health, if he had a loving wife, if he walked in protection, if he lived at the best address in the neighborhood
and if he had a great job? Adam was a rich man and he walked with God.
Adam shared an intimate relationship with
the Father. They spent time together everyday in fellowship and doing work together. When the time came to name the animals,
God asked Adam to help him. Imagine, the Lord reached down took soil into his hands and compressed it into shapes like Plato.
With one of the animals God formed a body, four legs, a short tail, a narrow head and then he stretched the neck really long.
Adam says to God, what is that and God tells Adam give it a name. Adam says I will name it a giraffe. God laughs and says
okay sounds good to me. God immediately commands the Angels to write the name giraffe for his new creation in the Book. After
working to name all the animals, we know that Adam expressed the desire of his heart to have a helper. God says that it is
not good for man to be alone. Immediately, God put Adam to sleep and made a helper from Adam’s flesh. When Adam awoke
he named God’s new creation, Women. We know that God is a giver. Adam had everything and yet when he asked God to make
him a mate, God immediately went to work.
We know that Adam and Eve sinned and God sacrificed an innocent animal
to provide a covering for them. Each of us has sinned against the Lord and we know that God sacrificed his only Son to cover
us with his innocent blood. Are you engaged in the Father’s work like Adam? Do you hear the Father’s voice? Have
the desires of your heart been answered? You can walk with God like Adam under the blood of Christ if you will seek an intimate
relationship with God.
Maybe you are walking with Christ on some days and you don’t recognize his footprint.
God is still letting men and women experience sharing in naming his creation today. The Lord gave us the same authority to
create a baby from our own flesh. Just like with Adam and Eve, God breaths life into our babies’ nostrils. For anyone
who has prayed to God for children, I can say that giving birth to a healthy baby is the answer to the desires of their heart.
God lets us name our son or our daughter. God is good and he wants to walk with you and share your intimate moments. Ask the
Lord to come and make his walk with you visible that you might see his compassion and love for you and your family. He has
been by your side all of this time.
A Farmer walks with God: In Genesis, we read about a family man who found
favor in the Lord. He was the father of three boys and he and his wife where empty nesters. This man treated his neighbors
with fairness and he walked with God. He operated in love even though we know his world was violent. The earth was filled
with Giants being created from Fallen Angels coming into women. The wickedness of man was great and we know that men had evil
on their hearts continually. Who was this man that lived and served his Lord during this evil period? We know his name as
Noah. Is our world today any worse than it was in Noah’s day?
We too can choose to walk with God in the midst
of a troubled world like Noah. God loves his creation and Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God shared with Noah his
plans to rid the earth of the wicked. God described with implicit detail to Noah how to build a safe Ark for him and his family.
God told Noah to use gopher wood and to apply pitch on both the insides and the outsides of the Ark to seal it for the voyage.
God provided the details of size, height and width. God told Noah where to build the door, the window and the areas to protect
his creation. We too can hear the details of how to protect our family if we will walk with God and be obedient to his Word.
God wants to tell you where to build your house and how to cover your family for protection. Many have already heard the plans
for their lives, however they have rejected the plans. Let us explore together the blessing Noah experienced as a result of
his obedience to the Lord’s voice.
When the Ark was finished, God commanded two pairs of male and female
unclean animals and seven pairs of male and female clean animals to enter the Ark. Even though Noah had preached the righteous
of God to many, only his family and the animals were obedient. Noah, his wife, their three sons, their wives and the animals
where saved. Why would the Lord plan seven pairs of clean animals to enter the Ark when the evil men where destroyed? God
knew these men even after being saved by a miracle would still sin. The Lord made provisions through innocent blood to cover
Noah and his family. God has provided us with the prefect blood and all believers are covered and righteous in the Father’s
eyes.
Noah was a man who was deemed righteous due his faith and obedience in the Lord. Even now, God has told us
about the future tribulation period and judgment day. God worked through men’s lives and through Holy Spirit to give
us implicit instructions in his Word how to be ready for his return and how to enter into his Ark to avoid judgment. Choose
to walk through faith in Christ Jesus and honor his commandments to seek the Father first and love your neighbor as yourself.
We know Noah followed these commandments in his lifetime and he walked with God.
A Cattle Herder walks with God: Another man found favor in God’s heart because he had a personal relationship with the Lord. We know the strength
of his relationship because the Lord spoke to this man and told him to take his wife and leave his father’s house. God
told them to go to a new land and take everything they owned. We all know that when you pack everything you own your not taking
a trip you are moving. Imagine the questions from his relatives: why are you moving, where are you going, do you have to go
now, are you upset with us? When God asks us to serve him don’t we face the same types of questions from our families
and friends? Take the risk like this man did to follow the Lord and see how God will reveal his glory and give you provisions
for your life.
This man demonstrated his relationship with the Lord because it took great faith and obedience to
move and not question the plan of God. This man’s name was Abram. After Abram had started his walk with God, the Lord
said I will bless those that bless you and I will curse those that curse you and all families on the earth will be blessed
through you. I am sure Abram pondered these words as he and his wife traveled to an unknown destination. They stayed together
and they followed the Lord’s instructions for their journey to their new land. When Abram got to the land the Lord had
promised, God gave the land to Abram and to his offspring. We know that Abram made an Altar and gave thanks to the Lord. Abram
and Sarai where old and out of child bearing years so how could they have offspring? Excited and operating in unbelief that
God meant that the child would come by Sarai, they got ahead of God and we know that Abram had a child with a servant. Today,
we are paying for the ramifications of his disobedience with the conflict of terror in the Middle East. Have you ever gotten
ahead of God? In our own lives, we too might still be paying the price for disobedience in our earlier years. Even so, the
Lord’s grace covered Abram and the Lord kept his promise. The Lord still keeps his promise for your life if you will
come and walk with him.
The truth was that Abram and Sarai where still without child from their flesh. Abram continued
to listen to God and the Lord made his flocks rich. Their abundance of livestock had reached the capacity of the land to support
their needs. God told Abram to separate from Lot. Walking in faith in God, Abram gave Lot first choice of the land. Abram
took what was left over. Lot chose the land of plenty for his herd and Abram set out to occupy his portion of the land. As
Abram moved in faith, God showed Abram the land to the North, the East, the South and the West. God gave Abram this land for
him and his family and his seed forever. We see man in his wisdom today has not listened to the voice of our Lord or his written
Word. God’s chosen people live in a sliver of land promised to them by God. We know that we have the blessings of Abram
through faith. Could we possibly be living in only a sliver of what the Lord has promised for our lives? We know that we are
to be a blessing to others if we walk with the Lord in faith.
Notice that Abram yearned for his seed that the Lord
had confirmed earlier in their journey. The Lord coming in a vision showed Abram the stars in heaven and answered his prayer
request for a seed. The Lord found Abram righteous because of his faith. When the time came for the pregnancy to begin Abram
was one hundred and Sarai was ninety. Both of them by this time got a chuckle at the possibility of finding pleasure at this
time in their lives. They accepted the Lord’s promise and the Lord made a covenant to Abram and Sarai. God gave them
new names: Abraham and Sarah. Sometimes when we join in covenant with God we have to change our identity. Our old friends
might not recognize us and sometimes they might even call us a new name. Today is the day to join in covenant with the Lord
and let him make you a blessing to others.
I want to end this teaching with a simple message not confused by the
doctrines of men. God loved you before the foundation of the earth. His desire is to have a personal relationship with you
and your family. These three men sinned and fell short of the glory of God and still the Lord shared an intimate relationship
with them. Every man heard the voice of the Lord. Each man was obedient demonstrating their faith by walking in the promises
of God. Today the Lord is calling you into service to walk with him and help him with his creation. If you have been on the
sidelines because you thought you had sinned and the Lord would not use you, please come to the Altar during prayer time.
He is calling you to start your walk with God.
Reading of God’s Word:
Hebrews 6:7
7 For ground that drinks the rain, which often falls upon it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake
it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God;
“Sending Rain on Dry Ground”
I had a vision
during the Christmas holidays while attending a Church Service in Knoxville, Tennessee. The music was anointed and the peace
of God had filled this place. I had reached a place in my heart where I was lost in his presence. I am not ashamed to say
that my spirit had found a common ground where I could enjoy his love. A couple of weeks ago, Eddie preached on the Marriage
Feast of the Lamb. He described the wedding and how the couple had passion toward one another. We are the King’s Bride.
Each of us should have passion for him for he is our everything.
While I was worshiping our Lord that night, I
saw in my spirit two angels flying over America. The Angels where dressed in white robes and each had a pale that would hold
approximately twenty-five gallons. The pales had handles on each end and they where filled with Holy Living Water. These Angels
where pouring out this precious Holy Living Water on Churches. The Church buildings looked brown. The Churches were alive,
however they were weak. As the drops of Holy Living Water began hitting the roofs, the Churches would envelop into a green
color. Life and new birth came forth and the Word of God came alive. Some individuals were walking down the sidewalks and
some people were driving down the street when they were splashed with the overflow. Instantly, these people were converted
and the Spirit of the Lord lived in them. I believe that this year is the time for us to drink the blood of Jesus like the
scriptures state and let him live inside of us. Many of us live in a brown house where the Lord is only in our Bibles and
for emergencies. Let us claim by faith the Holy Living Water on us and on our families in Jesus’ name. Receive now the
bride’s royal riches of her King and all the benefits of his promises through faith.
After we are saved,
each of us carries a song for Jesus in our hearts. Many of these love songs have never been sung. I believe the Lord places
in our spirits a song that we are to sing to him and to others about his love, his glory and his mercy. Billy Graham’s
song is for salvations and when he calls for souls the aisles fill and Jesus rejoices. Reinhard Bonnke’s song is for
the deliverance of Africa from the devil. In his Nigeria revival a couple of weeks ago over one point four million souls where
saved in two services when he sang his song. My song is God is faithful and we must believe God right now for everything.
What is your love song for the King? Does your song say I will come clean with you my Lord next week? Does your song say I
am okay right now my Lord? I know some of you have a song of praises and a genuine love for our Master. Your song might be
his is worthy to be praised. If you haven’t learned your song yet, let us lay down our iniquity before the Lord today
and let him place a new song that is pure and full of his Spirit. Let the Lord send rain to your dry ground.
Let
us look at God pouring out his love on some people in the Bible whose ground was dry. His Holy Living Water birthed life into
souls that where brown in despair. Peter walked with the Lord for three years and he witnessed the glory of the Lord on a
daily basis. Mark 14 says that Jesus prophesied that Peter would deny him three times in one night. We now that God’s
Word is true. Peter, the Lord’s friend and follower, cursed to confirm he did not know the Lord in his time of fear.
When the cock crowed, Peter knew he had failed Christ. His ground was dry.
Peter had been up all night waiting
to see the fate of the Messiah. He had a full range of emotions that ran through his mind. I am sure he had cried for hours
out of fear and out of despair. I feel sure that Peter’s stomach was wrenched as he relived his betrayal. What would
happen to him at daybreak? How did this happen? If only the Lord had listened to him about coming to Jerusalem. Why is this
happening to me? Can you place yourselves for a moment when we have denied being a Christian? You say what do you mean? I
have not denied Christ. What about when we elect not to say grace over our food in a public place. What about our denial to
share our faith with non-believers? Are you getting the picture? Maybe our ground is dry and we need a fresh rain from our
Lord. Many of us have experienced the same embarrassment, fear, confusion, and torment that our brother Peter endured that
weekend.
We know that Peter had time to reflect and yet he faced many questions about his future. What would he
do with his life now that his dream was dead? Sometime your dream has to die, so you will turn back and trust in the Lord.
The Lord is merciful. Within the prophesied time that Christ had promised, he returned in his glorified resurrected body.
The Lord broke bread with Peter and he asked him to feed his sheep. Restoration came and Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Peter’s dry ground received rain and three thousand where saved on the day of Pentecost. Jesus wants to bring restoration
to your dry places. Bury the broken areas of your past and let the Lord prepare your ground to receive his Holy Living Water
for life.
We see another person in the Bible where the Lord sent fresh rain. In Mark 4, a Samarian woman had made
bad choices regarding her relationships with men. She was an outcast having to draw water in the heat of the day where no
man was present. Jesus being a Jew was not supposed to speak with the women much less drink water with her type. We know the
loving nature of the Lord and he chose to reveal his deity to her, to drink water with her and to set her free. His plan was
for redemption for her and it is available for you. Jesus shared his Holy Living Water with this woman and breathed life back
into her spirit. She no longer had to hang her head for she had been forgiven of her sins. The women ran through the middle
of her town and she shouted the good news to the people and they followed her back to the well in the heat of the day. Jesus’
promise is to stay with you always and he waited on her return to confirm to the people her restoration. Jesus was right there
standing next to this women backing up her testimony and his Word. Do we have Jesus in our testimony? He is waiting next to
us just like he was for this woman. He is ready to restore you from your shame and recklessness. The Bible says that he straightens
the path of those who love him. His Word says he has good plans for you. Receive his fresh rain and be restored in Jesus’
name.
King David was a man after God’s own heart. We know that lust over powered him and he fell into adultery
and was guilty of murder. The King should have been on the battlefield with his troops and instead he stayed at home and lusted
after a bathing woman. With the Internet, satellite TV and cable TV, many are now are staying at home instead of going out
into the battlefield of life and many are lusting over a bathing women from the privacy of their home. We are hiding our sins
instead of falling on our faces and allowing the healing blood of Christ to wash us white as snow. Can you see the love that
our Lord has for us? The Old Testament history is to provide wisdom for our lives so we don’t have to experience the
trauma of rebellious living. King David got this woman pregnant and he had her husband killed to try and cover-up his hidden
sin. How many people have we murdered in conversation to cover-up our hidden sins. Be honest with the Lord who sits on high.
Each of us has driven the nails in the palms of Christ.
I ask you what do you have in your past that could be a
greater offense than murder, than adultery or than rebellion? In these three peoples lives we see the redemptive everlasting
love of Christ. He stands next to each man, each women and each child ready to love you into restoration with his Holy Living
Water. Is anyone feeling that God will not forgive him for his sins? If so, repent and receive forgiveness of your sins in
the name of our Lord. It is not his desire that any should stand in the outer court of the temple. Instead, the Lord has torn
the veil so his sons and his daughters can enter the throne room with boldness. The blood of Jesus is available today for
your restoration. Receive his Holy Living Water for your life and let the new life of the Father sprout and provide shade
for others who need the love of Jesus.
Isaiah 53:5 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Matthew 8:16-17 16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast
out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the
prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
“God Wants You Well”
Get your Bibles ready and let us explore some of the Lord’s healing scriptures together. The Word of God is alive
and every word is for you and for me today just as it was for the people in Biblical days. We know the Bible says in Hebrews
13:8 that God is not a respecter of persons. This means that what God does for one person he is prepared to extend the same
blessing to another. Many people teach that Isaiah 53:5 is addressing spiritual healing. They state that the healing Isaiah
mentioned in the text describes the process of God cleansing one’s soul through the blood of Jesus. They say this precious
healing takes place when we pass from this life to our eternal life. Even though we will be eternally healed when we enter
Heaven, the Bible confirms the literal meaning in the Book of Isaiah is true. In Matthew 8:17, God states that Jesus took
our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Hallelujah! This being true and now that we know that God is no respecter of persons,
what are some of the healing blessings described in the Bible. For clarification purposes, I want to make it known that the
Word of God says that if we seek him first all other things will be given to you. Seeking Jesus and building a personal relationship
with him is our most important responsibility. Jesus’ love is complete. When you love him and choose to serve him, he
becomes everything you need in this life and throughout eternity.
I have selected the healing scriptures today
from the Book of Matthew. As I studied the text and prayed, the Holy Spirit began to quicken thoughts to share with you. Leprosy
is not very common today, however from what we understand it is a dreadful disease. A leper was destined to live outside the
camp in isolation without the touch of another person until their limbs fell off and they died a painful death. Can you imagine
having to live the rest of your life without being touched and without hope? In Matthew 8:2-3 we see, 2 And, behold, there
came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and
touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. Immediately the leper was cleansed. Can you see the discernment of Christ operating
to know the lepers needs? We know that Jesus healed the man, however our Lord knew this man also needed the touch of a person
to make him feel loved. Jesus is working in our lives to make us feel loved and to make us whole. Jesus stretches out his
hand to meet our physical needs as well as our emotional needs. Should any of us question that we can go to him for healing?
What Jesus did for this leper is available to us.
While entering Capernaum, in Matthew 8:6-10 we see another request
for healing. This time a centurion beseeched Jesus: 6 Saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously
tormented. 7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy
that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority,
having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant,
Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have
not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. . . . . And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed,
so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. Would you like to marvel Christ? We know that without
faith it is impossible to please God. Let us have the same faith about the healing blood of Christ that this centurion had
and Jesus will be marveled. I would like to think that sometime in my life, I would get the pleasure to please God in such
a way. Let us review another side of the loving nature of Christ in this miracle. We see the centurion outlined the process
for his servant to be blessed. Jesus could have said, I must see your servant. Take me to him. Instead, Jesus answered the
healing request the way the centurion asked.
Be careful how you ask for your healing in your prayers. I think we
tend to limit God by the way we pray. I know a person close to me who came down with severe intestinal pains. The pain got
so intense she went into the hospital and the doctor put her on morphine to deaden the pain. The doctor released her from
the hospital because he could not diagnose her illness. During this time, she was out of work for two weeks and she lost a
lot of weight due to her inability to eat. While going back and forth to the emergency room, her desperation became worse
and worse. This person began pleading with the Lord to let her sleep because that was the only time she received relief from
her pain.
This person had been taught that God’s grace was sufficient and she interpreted that meant for
her to be steady in her sickness and to look to the doctors for her resolution. In Matthew 9:12 we see where Jesus authorizes
the use of Doctors. 12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that
are sick. I believe that God appointed doctors as special servants for his people. God delivers healing through the hands
of doctors and medicine. However, our Father should be our first source to seek his direction for our healing. Is it possible
that each of us have made doctors our first source instead of God? Does making doctors our first line of defense to illness
and disease line up with scripture? Does not the Word of God state to seek him first? I have at times put my faith in doctors
over the healing blood of Jesus. I have repented for not giving Jesus priority in those times in my life.
The
next day while at the end of her rope, the Holy Spirit quickened to her a conversation she had heard regarding the word SOZO
and the healing power of Christ’s blood. The word SOZO is used in the New Testament approximately 100 times and it means
to preserve, to keep alive and to save. She had never been taught in Church that God heals people today through laying on
of hands. She knew God could heal, however she was leery of people who believed in miracles. Lying in her bedroom while suffering,
she prayed for God to put her to sleep so the pain would subside for a while. Then like a bright revelation she said to herself,
what if I believed in my miracle healing? What if I believed Jesus’ blood took my sickness and my disease? I believe
that when she began to trust in the healing Word of God, ministering Angels where released to give her boldness. She suddenly
had the faith to claim her healing through Christ Jesus. That night she repented of her sins, cried out to God, and believed
for healing. She fell asleep and the pain subsided. The next morning she awoke with her bed shaking and the peace of Jesus
filling the very air she breathed. She was healed in the name of the Lord. By his stripes, we are healed.
In Matthew
9:20-22 we see a very popular story preached amongst Christians. We see where a woman had a bleeding disease related to her
menstrual cycle. During this age, women where made to go and stay in a tent outside of the city until their bleeding had finished.
The Jewish culture believed women were unclean during their period and a simple touch could contaminate a person or their
home. It would have been a capitol offense to enter into a crowd of people much less to touch the clothing of a Teacher or
Rabbi. Even with this risk, this woman broke the law to claim her healing. We see where she said, 21…If I may but touch
his garment, I shall be whole. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort;
thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Again, we see the compassion of our Lord and
Savior. He allowed her to receive her healing exactly the way she said in her heart. Jesus never rebuked her for touching
him while in her unclean state. Jesus’ love touches us even when we are unclean.
Have you known Men or Women
who have made laws unto themselves saying that God does not heal this way or that way anymore? I have seen some people speak
for their mother, wife, husband or child saying that they would not be interested in someone laying on of hands. Is this position
from God or from a position of fear or unbelief? Is it possible that they have never been taught that the Word of God says
that he uses men and women to act as vessels to administer healing? What about those who will let their children die in the
name of God without even the intervention of medicine or treatment? We should be so bold in Christ Jesus that we are willing
to wade through the unbelief and touch the hem of his garment. This woman was willing to die for her belief in Jesus Christ.
Lord Jesus, help us to have the faith in you that this women did so many years ago.
In this next study of the love
of Christ and his healing mercy, we see the power of his healing grace. In Matthew 9:18-19 . . 23-26, 18 While he spake these
things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and
lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. 19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. . . 23 And when
Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, 24 He said unto them, Give place:
for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. 25 But when the people were put forth, he went in,
and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. 26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land. God revealed something
fresh in my spirit. Remember that Jesus did not many miracles in his hometown. The Bible states that the people’s unbelief
kept Jesus’ healing power from manifesting. Because Jesus’ love was greater for the girl than the personal mocking
he received at the ruler’s house, he cleared the house of those with unbelief. Then he healed the girl. Remember that
when we pray for the healing of love ones and friends, if those around us are operating in unbelief healing will not manifest.
Let us be believers in Christ Jesus and show the same love as Christ and freely share his love with others.
We
know that God wants us well. What is a simple way to prove this statement? Have you ever given God the glory for designing
our bodies where they heal themselves? When we cut our finger, whether we are a believer, whether we believe in healing, whether
we are in good standing with our walk with the Lord, our bodies repair themselves. God loves all people and healing of our
natural body and our spirit man is of great importance to our Father. Jesus said that he only did what he saw the Father do.
We know that he went about healing all that where sick. Let us look at several stories in Matthew where Jesus used healing
to draw people to him and glorify God. In Matthew 12:15, 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great
multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; In Matthew 14:14, 14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and
was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. In Matthew 14:35-36, we see Jesus holding one of the first
healing services. 35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about,
and brought unto him all that were diseased; 36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as
many as touched were made perfectly whole.
Another way we know the Father’s heart toward healing can be found
when the disciples where unsuccessful healing a man’s son. You see the Disciples had been traveling with Christ learning
the ways of the Father’s heart. They had been sent by Jesus to go out into the cities in groups of two and preach the
good news laying hands on the sick and casting out demons and raising the dead. Jesus’ Word says that if any two lay
hands on any one thing believing in their heart and agreeing it will be done in the name of Jesus. Jesus knew that where two
or more are gathered in his name he is present. So, what was the response of Jesus when the father came and presented his
son that the disciples had not healed? In Matthew 17:16-18, 16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure
him. 17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I
suffer you? bring him hither to me. 18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from
that very hour. We see our Teacher was unhappy because of the disciples’ unbelief. Jesus told the disciples afterwards
that some types of healing require prayer and fasting. We know that when we pray and fast, our faith is raised and a greater
anointing follows. Is the Church of Christ Jesus teaching the believers how to become disciples? Could this explain why the
Church of Christ Jesus does not see the miracles of healing on a regular basis like in the Bible? Let us stand strong in Christ
Jesus and make a commitment to one another that we will press into his Word and build one another in the Father’s will.
Let us choose to bold for Christ Jesus. Gary Parish, our Senior Pastor, took a bold step in faith leading our Church into
missions. The Church met his call with great enthusiasm. Gary has asked all of the members to make a new commitment to follow
Christ. Publicly, we had two or more come forward when this offer was extended. I’m sure others made a commitment from
their pews. Let us not be ashamed to take up this honor of service for the King. Gary has approved the development of the
Healing Team. Friends we are seeing a move of the Holy Spirit in our Church. Let us not sleep and miss this opportunity to
do the work of the Lord. He is calling many, however his Word says few are chosen.
Some people are afraid to pray
for people. I used to be one of those people until I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I can remember thinking what
happens if the person does not become healed. I thought this would be embarrassing if nothing happens. I call it to your attention;
it is not by our power that a person is healed. It is by the healing mercy of Christ Jesus that a person is healed. We are
called to be obedient, to pray and to believe for one another. In James 5:14-16 the Word of God says, 14 Is any sick among
you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall
be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
We now
that Jesus never refused healing to anyone. Why would he refuse to heal you? In Matthew 9:35 the Word of God states, 35 And
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing
every sickness and every disease among the people. We know that Jesus in Matthew 10:1, 1…gave us power against unclean
spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Jesus commanded us in Matthew 10:7-8,
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast
out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. We know that God created us in his own image. We should never question God’s
mercy for us. His Word says that we are more important than a sparrow and that he even numbered the hairs of our head. Even
from the cross, we see Jesus performing the ultimate healing that each of us in Christ will see manifested when we come into
his presence. In Luke 23:42-43, 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus
said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. We know that the thief believed in Jesus
and cried out to him. His body would have been stricken with pain and we know he was suffering unto death. Because he believed
and because of the Father’s promise, his body was restored as he entered paradise. Hallelujah!!!
Reading of God’s Word:
Ephesians 3:20 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above
all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Matthew 22:29 29 Jesus answered and
said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
“God’s Power in us Today”
In the beginning, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit where talking and God said let us make man in our image and give
them power to rule over our creation. We find this discussion in the very first book of the Bible in chapter 1:26-28. Power
comes from God, however he has given us his authority to exercise it according to his Word. Let us visit three accounts where
God demonstrated his power. In Genesis 19:24-25, God brought judgment to the city of Sodom and Gomorrah for their sexual iniquity
and their rebellion toward him. Abraham discussed with the Lord the judgment for these cities and God revealed his mercy to
spare the innocent and judge only the wicked. The Lord sent his Angels into the city to verify that the report was accurate
and to remove the innocent before he destroyed the people. We know the Angels completed their orders and then the Lord rained
down fire from heaven and the cities where burnt to the ground. Are you aware that archeologists have found the remains of
these cities and below their foundations; the earth is burned up to five feet deep?
Let us take another look into
the power of God. In Exodus 15:8-10 the Hebrew people thought they where trapped on a peninsula with the sea to their back
and no way to survive the Egyptian Army. When the timing was perfect, God blasted the sea with his nostrils and the sea delivering
a dry land bridge to cross. The Hebrew people recognizing the power of God, crossed over the land bridge through the belly
of the sea to the other side safely. The Egyptian Army with their lust to destroy the Hebrew people started across the land
bridge at the orders of their captains. When the army had entered to the point of no return, God released the wall of water
from both sides and the soldiers sank like lead to the bottom. Imagine the sea racing to bury the men in their watery grave.
Did you know that archeologists have found the chariots, swords and helmets lined up in a straight line in the Red Sea off
of a peninsula as described in the Bible?
In the third example, God’s covenanted people where in battle and
they needed his favor to win. In the old days, most battles where won by the army that had the best position at nightfall.
The Hebrew people would have the favored position if only they had more hours of light. In Joshua 10:12, Then spake Joshua
to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of
Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 13 And the sun stood still, and the moon
stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun
stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. We see where God demonstrated his power to
stop the rotation of the planets and restart them after the victory. Did you know that astronomers have proven that there
is a ten-hour window in space that cannot be explained which accounts for this event and another event in 2 Kings? Just imagine
the power it would take to stop the earth’s rotation without everything being destroyed and then starting it back up
again at exactly the right rate to sustain life. Who can question the power of God and yet we see Christians denying the feeding
of 5,000 men with five loaves of bread and two fishes. God forgive us for our rebellion against your Word and for planting
seeds of unbelief amongst your people.
We know that all power comes from the Father. Let us accept the Power that
the Lord has given us to live victorious in our daily living. The Lord promised that we would do greater works than he through
his power. Let us bring glory to the Father by learning our scriptures and exercising his power to win souls for Christ, to
lay hands on the sick and to set the captives free. Father we know from your Word that these are commands that you have given
to all believers. Forgive us for our disobedience. Use us to carry forth your Ministry in the lives of the people we meet
daily in Jesus’ name.
The power of our words and faith is confirmed in the story of the Centurion who came
to Jesus. This man had heard of the power of Jesus and believed. One day, the Centurion’s servant fell ill and he was
going to die. The Centurion was a man of faith. He left with the heart of intercession to find Jesus and ask him for his help.
The Centurion, a gentile, told Jesus that he was not worthy to have him in his home, yet if only he would speak the Word,
his servant would be healed. We know that Jesus spoke and that the Centurion’s faith released Jesus’ power to
heal his servant. Do you know that we have the power through Jesus Christ to speak healing into someone? In our fellowship
here, we have spoken words of healing for others who where not present and God in his mercy has healed the people. God gets
all the glory.
Most people probably do not realize the seriousness of disobedience to God’s power. In Romans
13,1-2, the Bible says let every soul be subject to God and no power comes except from God and whosoever resists his power
and his ordinance receive themselves into damnation. Wow! Have we denied his power? In 1 Corinthians 4:20, God tells us his
Kingdom in not in word, but in power. Again we see in Luke 4:22, the Bible says that all were astonished at his doctrine,
for his word was with power. In Jeremiah 32:27, The Lord asks is there any thing too hard for me? Let us trust him to have
the power to deliver us in our time of need. Is anyone facing his time of need? If you are a child of God, you already have
this power. Speak boldly to your mountain and believe in your heart that the Lord is King and that his Word is true. If you
are not sure you are a child of the Most High God, please come up for prayer at the end of the service.
Let us
review some of the areas where God has extended his power to us regarding the weather. We know that the Word of God is true
for every believer and that what the Father has done for one is available for another. When the Profit Elijah was in spiritual
warfare, he prayed the rain to cease and when the timing was right, he prayed the rain to start. Does anyone remember this
account in the Bible? Elijah spoke with his lips and commanded the heavens to obey him. The weather was obedient because of
the anointing. I have seen the rain commanded to stop at an Emmaus event and the rain flooded everywhere except where our
function was being held. It was a miracle. That weekend five inches of rain fell within a fifty to a one hundred mile radius
and we where spared. Some of the men who heard the command shouted to the heavens by a Methodist Preacher said this is impossible,
some said this is God’s authority and others said, God gave us power over his creation and it will not rain. Glory to
the King, Jesus rains and is victorious in those who believe in his power.
In the New Testament, Jesus spoke more
about finances than he spoke about Haven. He knows about our needs and he made provisions for our finances. We know the rain
falls on the just and the unjust alike. In this scripture, God demonstrates his love for all. However, believers have promises
that God will bless those financially that tithe with a cheerful heart. He says that with his power he will rebuke the devourer
who would come to steal your finances. We know that we must seek the kingdom first and all other things will be given to us.
How many of us forget that our wealth comes from him and that he can take it away for disobedience? God tells us in Deuteronomy
8 18, But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his
covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Do you know that the Father blesses you with wealth to meet your
provisions and to be a blessing to others? How many of us have received the anointing for finances and turned around and spent
the money on personal needs with very little being extended for an offering to bless his Kingdom? Let us repent and make a
new decision to extend blessings to others. Jesus’ blood gives us the authority to operate in his power for our finances.
God’s Word says that we have been given his power for signs and wonders. He says in Mark 16:17-18, believers
have been given his power to cast out devils, pray or speak in tongues, lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Praise
God, in our fellowship, Jesus has been with us as we lay hands on the sick and pray for the needs of the people with signs
and wonders. Miracle healings have taken place. I think back about my healing from Graves’s disease, which there is
no cure. I give thanks for Leslie’s ulcerative colitis healed in Jesus’ name. Lee Pettit’s heart murmur
was healed on the spot and his arthritic hands were healed. I think of Eddie’s feet and his hamstring that was healed.
Look at the power of Jesus to provide favor for our love ones near and far. We have had tremendous testimonies from our fellowship
whose families we have prayed for during our services. There is power in the name of Jesus and he has extended it to us for
his glory and our daily living.
The power of Jesus’ presence is something that we have seen and will see
more as we grow in our faith and dismiss our unbelief. Who can stand in his presence? What does this mean? Let us look at
some scriptures that tell of men who came into the presence of the Master. In John 18:5-6, they answered him, Jesus of Nazareth.
Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. [6] As soon then as he had said unto
them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. This is what most people refer to as slain in the Spirit. In Matthew
28:3-4, we see where 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers
did shake, and became as dead men. When Jesus came to address Saul who had been killing his people, we see another example
of the presence of God’s power. Acts 26: 13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness
of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard
a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? In Revelation 1:16 it says,
and he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the
sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. In 2 Chronicles 5:14 while the people where
worshiping with music it states: 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory
of the LORD had filled the house of God. Let us look review some personal testimonies from some who have experienced the mighty
power of Jesus’ presence. Yesterday, Mike, Lee and I attended a men’s deliverance conference and the power of
God’s presence was so strong. The Minister, Noel Mann from Australia, was teaching and laying hands on everyone for
healing. He taught that we could be tormented from past sin, if we do not confess with our lips and repent before our Lord.
All of us were lined up in a row and Pastor Mann came down the line praying over us as we repented of our sins. The Holy Spirit
began revealing sin in everyone’s lives and when the power of God came, the men fell flat on the ground and could not
get back up until the Holy Spirit had finished ministering to them. I hope each of you is blessed with this opportunity to
see the power of Jesus manifested in your life.
I pray that you have been enlightened and challenged this morning
to recognize the power in us comes from our Lord and Savior. The Bible says that we can do all things in Christ, which strengtheneth
me. We see one of the Father’s promises in Luke 24:49, and, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry
ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. This scripture is talking about the infilling of
the power of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 1:8; we see the promise of Holy Spirit power. Just like when we asked the Lord to be
our Savior, we can must ask Jesus to deposit his Holy Spirit in us to become witnesses. If you are not sure what the Holy
Spirit power is and how to receive it, please ask someone on the Prayer Team to pray with you to receive.
